OPEN CALL FOR APPLICANTS – ERASMUS+ Blended Intensive Program

  • IN-PRESENCE attendance period: 9th of June- 11th of July 2025
  • VIRTUAL attendance period: 14th – 18th of July 2025

Programme description

Students will engage with English for specific purposes—learning specialized vocabulary and communication strategies for industries such as business, technology, healthcare, and law. Recognizing that English functions as a versatile tool across a wide range of fields, the course covers essential elements unique to each sector, helping students navigate the complex and nuanced language demands of different industries.

The programme addresses cultural diversity in the workplace, preparing students to communicate effectively in multilingual, multicultural environments. It includes in-depth exploration of topics like:

  • Introduction to Cultural Diversity in the Workplace
  • Communication Barriers and overcoming them
  • Cultural Misunderstandings and how to address them
  • Stereotypes and Prejudices, and ways to reduce their impact
  • Adaptation and Flexibility in diverse environments
  • Building Inclusive Teams that leverage diverse perspectives
  • Leadership in a Culturally Diverse Environment
  • Legal and Ethical Considerations in diverse workplaces

Aligned with the goals of the Eu-Green Alliance, the program encourages students to embrace sustainability and responsible communication practices, as well as the importance of diversity and inclusion as central elements for success in today’s job market. The knowledge gained will empower students to build sustainable professional relationships, lead with empathy, and adapt to the unique challenges and opportunities presented by multicultural work environments.

Total number of participants by institution

The BlP is open to a minimum of 15 participants, maximum 20 participants.

Number of ECTS credits awarded at the end of the BIP: 6 ECTS

Conditions for Admission

  • Participation in the program is open to Bachelor’s and Master’s students
  • At the time of the application submission, the applicants must know English at minimum B2 level

Applicants should complete the APPLICATION FORM until MAY 1st, 2025.

Selection procedure

An appointed Committee of the organizer and co-organizer institution will carry out the selection procedure.

Students and researchers should expect to hear back about the result of their application by May 5th 2025. Selected students must communicate their acceptance or withdrawal within 5 days from the publication of the selection results by contacting their university program coordinator. Selected students will be contacted with further instructions upon completion of the selection procedures.

Financial support

The attendance of the Blended Intensive Programme may be covered by an ERASMUS+ SMS Short Mobility Grant for all mobile students (excluding students from the hosting University). This financial support may only be guaranteed by the selected student’s home University. The University of origin of each selected student is fully responsible for the management of the financial aspects of the mobilities in accordance with the provisions of the competent ERASMUS+ National Agency.

No financial support is foreseen for host institution students as they will not be traveling for the purposes of participation in this programme (non-mobile participants).
