The Association of Economics Students from Oradea – ASEO is a student organization composed of students from the Faculty of Economic Sciences in Oradea, headquartered in Building F, Room F005. It integrates and harmonizes concepts such as volunteering, internships, personal and professional development, and more. At the same time, ASEO promotes both formal education and non-formal learning. This small group of ambitious students operates based on values and principles that can serve as a model for the entire student community.
This student association organizes activities not only for economics students but also for all students at the University of Oradea. The president of this association is Adrian Florin Abrudan.
ASEO aims to facilitate the discovery and development of young students’ potential, enabling them to have a positive impact on society and contribute added value to the communities they belong to. ASEO provides an environment conducive to the holistic development of a student. The organization is a way to bring together individuals who share the same principles, mindsets, desires, and interests, and together we strive to promote these values across the entire community.
Over time, ASEO has implemented activities that bring students closer to the business environment, allowing them to experience the roles of both employee and employer, improve communication skills, and practically apply the theoretical knowledge gained during university courses. These experiences serve as motivation for both association members—through their involvement and participation in organizing events—and for the wider community we aim to reach.
Later on, ASEO also introduced entertainment into the academic environment, as events of this nature effectively combine personal and professional development using non-formal educational methods.
Another area of focus is social engagement, carrying out activities to support disadvantaged individuals (children, families) and backing foundations for various causes they advocate.
To become an ASEO member, a student doesn’t need to do much: they only need to be ambitious, hardworking, and consistent. First, the student must write a letter of intent describing their personal and professional profile and their motivation for applying. Second, this letter must be sent to the association’s email address: aseoradea@gmail.com, after which the second stage takes place: an interview with the candidates for membership in the Association of Economics Students from Oradea. This stage allows us to better understand their potential.
